Description
After reaching the takeoff area, you have some time for a break and take pictures. After that, your pilot is introduced to you and he/she makes you ready for flight, gives you a short instruction, and brings you to the point to take off he/she has secured. After walking and running several steps, even you cannot realize when you have left the ground. Soon after the takeoff, lean back and open your arms to enjoy Ölüdeniz’s splendid scenery and perfectly clean air to your heart’s content. Now you are completely free as a bird. You’re feeling as light as a bird. While you are in the sky, your pilot captures your special moments with his/her camera equipment in order to make them permanent. Those images and video clips are shown after your flight and sold upon your request.
Also, during your flight, your pilot gives you a general explanation about Ölüdeniz’s surroundings as well as the flight information. If you wish to experience extra thrills and spills, you’re exactly in the right situation. Upon your request, your pilot can perform some acrobatic actions and gives you feelings you have never had and life-long memories. Those actions are performed by expert pilots and there’s nothing to hesitate to try. After your half-hour flight, you start being ready to land in Ölüdeniz. What you need to do for landing is just to stand up and take some steps. That’s all. You land just as a bird does.

WHO NEED TO REFRAIN FROM THE ACTIVITY:
- Are over 100kg (90 kg for women) in weight.
- Have difficulties in running.
- Are pregnant.
- Have any pathological symptoms of a panic attack and psychological disorder.
- Have any symptoms of heart disease.
- Are under the influence of too much alcohol, or any material or drugs.
ITEMS YOU NEED TO PREPARE
It depends on the season. In the summertime, you should wear a T-shirt, short pants, sunglasses and sports shoes (If you have one). If the weather is cooler, your pilot gives you a jumpsuit and gloves. If you do not have sports shoes, we have them to lend you. You are never allowed to fly without sports shoes. Also, please make sure to bring sunglasses with you as they’re one of the important items.
ITEMS YOU SHOULDN’T BRING WITH YOU WHEN GOING ON A FLIGHT
When you go on a flight, you are forbidden to carry items like a cell phone, coin, knife, handbag, digital camera with you for the safety of yourself and others. You are required to give those personal belongings to your pilot in the office or on the mountain before your flight. Your stuff will be returned to you soon after your landing.

What a tandem flight from Babadag is actually like
The day starts with a minibus ride up Babadag. It is about 40 minutes of switchbacks from Oludeniz, and the road is steep, so if you get carsick easily take something beforehand and sit near the front. Launch is usually from around 1,200 metres, and on clear mornings the drivers carry on up to the 1,700 and 1,800 metre points where the views are bigger and the flight is longer.
Your pilot clips you into the harness, runs through the two things you need to do on take off, and then you jog a few steps down the slope until the wing lifts you off your feet. After that you sit back into the seat. Flights run roughly 20 to 40 minutes depending on the launch height and the wind, and you land on the sand at Belcekiz beach in the middle of Oludeniz.
Morning or afternoon
Mornings are calm and smooth, which is what you want if you are nervous or just want a gentle glide. From late morning the thermals pick up, the air gets bouncier, and pilots can climb and stay up longer. Neither is dangerous. It comes down to whether you want a quiet flight or a livelier one. If you want spins and wingovers, ask your pilot before take off, and only if your stomach is up for it.
Good to know before you book
- Every pilot flies under a Turkish Aeronautical Association licence and the tandem wings are insured.
- Wear closed shoes you can run a few steps in, bring a light layer because it is cooler at altitude, and keep sunglasses on for the launch.
- Weight range is roughly 25 to 110 kg. Outside that, message us first and we will find a pilot who can take you.
- Wind can delay or cancel flights at short notice. That is a safety call, not a sales tactic, and we rebook or refund you.
- You can add a video and photos filmed by your pilot on a stick mount. Decide before you take off, not after.
Hotel pickup from Oludeniz, Hisaronu and Ovacik is included. Fethiye and Calis pickups work with a bit more notice. Send us your dates and where you are staying on WhatsApp and we will sort the timing.
