Horse riding is one of the best activities which you can try during staying in Fethiye. There’re two routes for the tour. If you like, you can follow paths in the forest and take a broad view of Fethiye, or start from Hisarönü and excursion to Kayaköy. We guarantee your pleasant time.

Riding through Kayakoy
The stables are near Kayakoy, the stone village left empty after the 1923 population exchange, and the ride goes out through the pine woods around it. There is a short lesson on steering and stopping in the paddock first, then you head out at a walk with a guide leading and another riding alongside. Longer routes drop down toward the coast near Gemiler with a view over the bay.
Most of the ride is at a walk, which is why it works for people who have never been on a horse. If you can ride and the group is up for it, the guide will let you trot on the open stretches. Rides run about two hours and the horses are calm and used to nervous beginners.
Before you go
- Long trousers and closed shoes with a small heel if you have them. Shorts and the saddle do not get along.
- Helmets are provided and you should wear one.
- Tell us the weight of each rider when you book. There is an upper limit of around 90 kg for the horses' sake.
- Early morning and late afternoon are cooler for the horses and for you. Midday rides in July are hard going.
Hotel pickup from Fethiye, Oludeniz, Hisaronu and Ovacik is included.
