Butterfly Valley
We take a break at this natural spot for about an hour. During this break, if you wish you can continue the wonderful trekking area by paying the entry fee to the local owner.
Aquarium Bay
The bay is named due to its enormous amount of fish species that lives underneath. It is a preferred bay for those who like to dive. Don’t be surprised to see a thousand shades of blue.

Cold Water Bay

The Oludeniz boat tour, stop by stop
This one leaves from the beach at Oludeniz rather than Fethiye harbour, so the Blue Lagoon is the first thing you see from the water. The usual run takes in Butterfly Valley, where you can walk up the streambed toward the waterfall, the Blue Cave for a swim, Gemiler Island with the ruins of the Church of St Nicholas on the hillside, and Camel Beach. Boats stop to swim at most of these.
You are out from roughly ten thirty until six, lunch is cooked on board, and drinks come from the bar. The paragliders you see landing on the beach as you set off are coming down from Babadag, and it is a good view from the boat side too.
Tips
- Butterfly Valley has a rocky path and the short walk in is worth doing. Wear something on your feet.
- The Blue Cave is cave water, so cold and dim. Jumping in from the boat is the fun part.
- Book the day before if you can. Oludeniz boats fill up, especially in August.
- Sun on the open deck is fierce by midday. Claim a shaded spot early, or bring a sarong to rig one.
